Description

The Apostle Paul in I Corinthians 9:24-25 says that we are running in a race to obtain an incorruptible crown.  Towards the end of Paul’s life after running and finishing his course, he says in II Timothy 4:8, “henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness…”  James tells us, “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life” (James 1:12).  Peter said to faithful leaders in I Peter 5:4, “And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.”

The first thing we need to realize is that a crown is something that we need to attain it by how we live our lives.  We must run and make it happen.  Crowns are rewards given to work that has been done.  This manual seeks to tell us all the different crowns available in Scripture as rewards.  Unfortunately Lamentations 5:16 says, “The crown is fallen from our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!”  In many Christian lives, this is the case.

The Bible also says in Isaiah 62:3, “Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.”  This is where we want to center up on in this book; becoming a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord.  My prayer is God will use this book to open your eyes to understand what you should be running after in life, this incorruptible crown.
