Description

I hope and pray that this book will bless and minister to you and speak to you about the reasons we’re called to be alone; the reasons why we go through times of separation, times of misunderstanding, and times of deep loneliness.  Never forget this.  When Jesus called His disciples, He called them in the book of Mark to be first of all with Him and then to preach the gospel, cast out devils, and heal the sick (Mark 3:14-15).  Our first and highest calling is to be alone with Him.  Our walk with God is personal, and when we’re called to the ministry, called to a higher calling, the times of aloneness and separation can be great.

Yes, it’s true it can be very lonely.  Sometimes, like Elijah, we find ourselves depressed and dark (I Kings 19).  Jesus Himself was alone in the garden of Gethsemane.  Paul was alone praying for deliverance.  David said he was as a “sparrow alone upon the house top” (Psalms 102:7).  Jeremiah said, “I sat alone because of thy hand” (Jeremiah 15:17).  Moses alone drew near the thick darkness where God was (Exodus 20:21).  The last place we find the bride before the coming of the Lord is in the wilderness.  Paul said in II Timothy 4:16, “At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me.”  We find Jacob wrestling alone with God (Genesis 32:24).  Paul in Acts 19:9 “separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.”  This is what happens to us when we’re called to the glory and when we have a ministry of the true anointing.  Not including that sometimes life in general brings us circumstances such as handling betrayal, being single without a mate, going through a terrible divorce, or being a widow or widower that brings seasons of loneliness.

But the times that God has called us to be alone with Him, you will find will be the most precious times of your life.  As you look back, you will see that you’ve grown the most when you’ve endured the most suffering.  You will have more glory, more anointing, more revelation, more understanding, and a greater level intimacy with God because of these times alone.  Allow God the privilege of breaking you, dealing with you, so that you can become a true minister, radiating His Word and manifest presence to all who come near.  I pray this book edifies, comforts, & encourages you. And that you will never fear times of aloneness anymore, but embrace them, knowing that God is with you and that there will be an end for it.
