Narrow Way Bible School Curriculum

The seed of Narrow Way Bible School’s curriculum was birthed through a proliferation of teachers in the Charismatic movement written over the past 50 years into a sound, living, and deep course of study for the devoted disciple broken down into three levels: Foundational courses, Present Truth courses, and Revelational Courses.  Our goal is to present these courses to the nations seeking to mature the body of Christ into the image of our wonderful Saviour Jesus to the end of preparing a people to manifest His glory all over the earth.  Here’s an explanation of each level:

Every Christian needs a deep and strong foundation in the Scriptures.  Psalms 11:3 says, “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”  It is the basis for God building anything in His Kingdom in the lives of believers.  No house can ever be built without a foundation.  Jesus likened our foundation to a wise man that built their house upon a rock, which is one that “heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them…” (Matthew 7:24-27).    Paul, in Hebrews six, clearly defines for us a Biblical foundation, which he calls, “The Doctrine of Christ.”  Paul goes on to list the doctrine of Christ as “the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith towards God, of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgement,” (Hebrews 6:1-2).

Before we teach these six principles in Hebrews 6, we begin with a course called “Searching the Scriptures.”  It is a course created to teach everything about studying and falling in love with God’s Word.  Lastly, in Hebrews 6, Paul exhorts us as to why a foundation is needed by saying, “let us go on unto perfection.”  Perfection simply means “completion.”  Jesus wants to finish His work in our lives. We graduate!  Graduation can only come after a proper foundation is laid into a believer’s life.  To that end, we have a course called “The Doctrine of Perfection” that we have added at the end of this series.  Therefore, there are 8 courses, consisting of “Searching the Scriptures,” the six principles in Hebrews 6, and then a final course called “The Doctrine of Perfection.”

The Apostle Peter exhorts the church in II Peter 1:12 to “be established in the present truth.”  In our Present Truth courses, we offer very practical and necessary Biblical courses that every believer needs to be established in their present walk with the Lord.  The Greek word for “established” here literally means “to set fast, to confirm, or to turn resolutely in a certain direction.”  To this end we offer these courses.  May we be resolute with our prayer life, our walk with God, fasting, giving, worshipping, etc.  May we understand God’s Kingdom and not be ignorant of the Kingdom of Darkness.  May we be presently sound where much error has been perpetrated in order to Biblically grow in prophetic utterance, our giving, understanding the balance between God’s dealings with His people and true prosperity.  We have a course on Women in Ministry giving a deep Biblical foundation for God’s precious women to confidently arise in this hour and take their place in God’s Kingdom.  Also, in this series is the popular God Manual course that takes great time allowing God Himself through the Scriptures to define and reveal over 160 characteristics of His great and wonderful heart to us so we can know Him intimately and then learn to be like Him in each of these facets.  This list has kept growing over the years and we trust will continue to grow as the Lord moves, speaks, and opens His Word to us in this hour.

In Ephesians 3:3, the Apostle Paul says, “how that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery.”  The Greek word for “revelation” literally means “to open, to take the cover off.”  God has within His Word hidden mysteries and subjects that He wants to reveal to His people as we search the Scriptures in these last days.  Jesus told His disciples in Mark 4:11, “Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God.”   Our prayer is that as you study these subjects “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,” (Ephesians 1:17-18).  The last book of the Bible is the Revelation of Jesus Christ.  No matter how deep these subjects may seem, every subject simply will lead us to revealing our precious Saviour Jesus in this hour.  God is preparing a people to be conformed to His image in order to manifest His glory and reveal the true Jesus to this dark world.  May these subjects cause us to arise today, allow the Lord to do His work in our lives, die to ourselves, so that the mystery hidden from the ages may be manifest through us, which is, “Christ in you, the hope of glory,” (Colossians 1:27).
