Searching the Scriptures

The course Searching the Scriptures is deemed a course favorite by so many disciples over the years.  “Elementary yet so revelational” is what students walk away saying every time.  The “Searching the Scriptures” course is a comprehensive, 55-lesson study course, with questions at the end, designed to move believers from a casual acquaintance with the Bible to a deep, life-changing relationship with the Word of God.  For one to walk with Jesus and become like Him, one must have a lifetime discipline of reading, studying and searching the Scriptures.  Studying the Scriptures is not something we do for a year or two and then move on, but it is a lifestyle God is looking in His people. With that in mind, the four main goals of this course:

• To share with you the key to real deliverance is through God’s Word.
• To share with you the great treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and most importantly, the revelation of God’s way found as we study the Scriptures.
• To lay a foundation in your life of the importance God, Himself, places on the Word, to the end that we would be established, have the answer of God, and not be ashamed.
• To promote in you a hunger and a great desire to read, study, memorize, and speak the Word of God.

This course is broken into five sections with topics that will cover and define what a foundation is, the canonization and divine inspiration of the Scriptures, levels of growth in the Word of God, seeing our need to study, the principle of revelation, symbols in Scripture, how to approach the Word of God, studying the Scriptures, reading the Bible, meditating on the Word of God, eating God’s Word, a deep dive into the parable of the sower as well as the role and importance of teaching sound doctrine,  culminating with Jesus as the center of it all for, “in the volume of the book it is written of him,” (Psalms 40:7).
