Eternal Salvation has been for me one of the most edifying, encouraging, comforting, and challenging doctrines I have ever taught. It is a course taught in our Bible Schools all over the world and is a collection of over 25 study manual lessons covering almost every aspect of our eternal salvation as well as looks at topics such as “the sin unto death,” “blasphemy of the Holy Ghost,” “how God deals with backsliders,” as well as gives an answer to many controversial Scriptures.
For years I believed one could lose the gift God gave them. Then I began to sway somewhat in the opposite direction. I was completely double-minded and unstable about what I believed concerning this. Then the day came in 1975 when I decided I was going to search the Scriptures and not stop searching until I had the truth. After several years of intensive study and comparison, I came to this Biblical conclusion, “For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.” (Isaiah 54:10).
Our covenant of salvation was made between the Father and Jesus, therefore it is unbreakable. What deliverance this brought to me! What comfort, what assurance! My worship increased one hundredfold, for He is my Father and He will never leave me or forsake me (Hebrews 13:5). He will judge me when I sin but that is for my good. The grace of God doesn’t give license to sin, rather it teaches us not to (Titus 2:11-12). It is a good thing that the heart be established in grace and not with the letter that kills (Hebrews 13:9). Be established in His goodness towards you. Realize that it is a forever salvation because Jesus is the Author and Finisher or our faith.
